In this crazy seller's market, I needed to forgo the typical engineer inspection prior to purchase. I decided it was worth the time and money to have someone inspect the property after I closed. Your firm is responsible for discovering multiple catastrophic issues in two homes we had offers accepted on. Neither issue was obvious during a walkthrough and issues would have cost us $25,000 to repair. The inspector is very thorough and talks you through everything he sees as he inspects the property. Structural deficiencies, mold, buried oil tanks, you name it and he will find it. Do yourself a favor and get a home inspection. Even new construction builds can have secrets.
